GSMAP will endeavor to

  1. Work towards the proliferation of GSM telecommunication services and the maximization of the benefits of GSM technology for the welfare of the people in the region.
  2. Develop regional cooperation and augment the active participation of operators in functional areas of common interest such as:
    • International Roaming
    • International Career Services
    • Network Planning & Development
    • Network Operations
    • Product & Service Development
    • Human Resources
    • Sales & Marketing
    • Business Strategy
    • Corporate Social Responsibility
    • Finance, Credit and Billing
    • Legal & Regulatory
    • IT & Software
  3. Augment active contribution of the Member Community to the Agenda of the GSMA and Support GSMA to promote its image in the region and it its endeavors
  4. Build awareness and of issues affecting the strategy and operation of the business and represent the Members of the GSMAP on a wide variety of national, regional and global issues, where applicable.
  5. Highlight industry specific strategic issues relevant to the Group to the GSMA for resolution.
  6. Take initiatives to fulfill the Exposure & Knowledge Development requirements of the Member operators. Encourage technology transfer, human resource development and the exchange of information among the Operators. Collate the exposure and development needs of the Member community and come up with an Quarterly plan to address the key exposure requirements
  7. Establish Expert Groups within GSMAP with the objective of providing GSMAP members with a regular flow of information on major developments of significance
  8. Reward & Recognize specific achievements and contributions made by the operators to the region and the industry
  9. Ensure timely dissemination of the relevant activities and decisions of the GSMA, required for the smooth functioning of the business .to the member Operators of the Group.
  10. Establish review processes for evaluation of feedback from member operators on the operations of the Group, while staying abreast of potential issues and situations that might affect the accomplishment of plans
